Why should I rent an ATV?
What is the minimum age to rent your ATV's? Are there age limits on any of your machines? Do I need a credit card to rent an ATV? Do you require any previous experience to rent? Do you rent any riding gear? Can we bring our own riding gear? Do you require reservations? Do you require a security deposit? Are your rentals guided? When are you open? What is a day of rental going to cost me? Is Chatsworth ATV Rentals LLC owned or operated by the New Jersey Off Road Vehicle Park? Are there any hotels or campgrounds nearby? Why should I rent an ATV? 1. ATV riding is a lot of fun. 2. Buying/owning an ATV carries many expenses, including: a. $7000.00 to purchase, plus tax, plus shipping, plus dealer prep. b. Transportation of ATV, purchase of pick-up, van or trailer plus gas. c. Storage of ATV. d. Depreciation, ATV's lose value very quickly after they have been used. e. Insurance. f. Maintenance. 3. You will not have to worry about any of the above, as we cover it all. Back to Top What is the minimum age to rent your ATV's? All renters must have a valid drivers license. 18 is the minimum age to rent an ATV. The person(s) responsible for the rental must be 18 years old. You must be 25 year old to rent an Advanced Level ATV(TRX450R, Outlaw, LTR450, YFZ450, Predator). Back to Top Are there age limits on any of your machines? The person responsible for the rentals must provide a Visa, Master Card or Discover credit card and a valid drivers license. At this time we are only accepting cash or Paypal at the park. We have internet access at the park, so you can make a Paypal payment at the park or bring cash. If you would like to pay with Visa, Mastercard or Discover you must make your reservation on line 48 hours in advance. Back to Top Do you require any previous experience to rent? Yes and No, prior experience is required for riding some of the ATV's. Please go to the Reservation Desk and Internet Links link and select Reservation Desk then select ATV Rental Reservations. Choose an ATV, you then see which ATV's require prior experience. Training is provided for all riders. Back to Top Do you rent any riding gear? Yes. We have a gear rental package that includes helmet, gloves, goggles, jersey, pants, boots and chest protector for $35.00 per 8 hour rental. Back to Top Can we bring our own riding gear? Yes, it is encouraged that if you have riding grear, please bring it. Your helmet will fit your head better. Please remember to bring your helmet, goggles, chest protector, gloves, boots, jersey and pants. We would also recomend that you wear protection for you elbows and knees. The NJORVP's Required safety equipment include: Helmet, Goggles (NO GLASSES or SUNGLASSES Without or instead of Goggles), chest protector, over the ankle boots, long pants, and long sleeve shirt. Yes, we require a $500.00 Security Deposit. After you return the ATV and it has been inspected your deposit will be refunded less any damages. You will be responsible for the entire cost of any repairs, including parts and labor up to $1000.00. Back to Top Are your rentals guided? The majority of our rentals are not guided. However, with prior notice, we can arrange for guided rides for large groups. Back to Top When are you open? We are open everyday the New Jersey Offroad Vehicle Park is open during the following hours. For mid-week(Tues, Wed, Thurs) rentals, reservations are required. We only rent ATV's to be used at the New Jersey Offroad Park, so you will have to pay for a day pass, to enter and use the park grounds, that is $50.00 for the day or $300.00 for the entire year. You can purchase insurance, that is $15.00 for the day and covers you in the you crash and injury a fellow rider. Next you can rent an ATV from us for as little as $40.00 for the day. You must also leave us a refundable security deposit of at least $250.00. You are responsible for all the parts and labor that result from a crash. Most accidents involve trees and usually cost the rider $250.00 in parts and labor. Lastly you can also rent riding gear(helmet, goggles, boots, chest protector, gloves, jersey and pants) for $35.00. For a total of $125.00 for the day as long as you return the ATV in the same condition you received it, otherwise you'll foreit the security deposit and the day will cost you $375.00.
